Empowering Educators

Who we are

Our vision

At Lumina Learning, we believe that literacy instruction can be both joyful and explicit. Grounded in research. Responsive to adult learners. Empowering Educators.
We exist to bridge the gap between what teachers learned in training and what we face in the classroom on a daily basis. Too often, educators are asked to implement new literacy practices after singular trainings. Without the time and guidance, or feedback to help those practices stick. The result is frustration, inconsistency, and missed opportunities for the teachers and learners they serve.
We Believe
Literacy is a right, not a privilege
Teachers deserve professional learning that is as complex as their work.
Joy and Rigor are not opposites.
Our Approach
Our work is rooted in:
Explicit and evidence-based practices
A deep respect for the development of the child.
Ongoing coaching and collaboration
Practical application leads to change.
Why Lumina?
Real change doesn't happen in isolation. It happens when educators are supported over time. When we can try, reflect, adjust, and grow alongside others who are doing that same work- that is meaningful and lasting learning. That's what makes the difference.
